Valeria Silva Moeller

Valeria is a neuroscientist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford. She trained in Biotechnology and completed her PhD in Neuroscience in Chile. Her research explores how neuronal networks shape behaviour, integrating molecular, genetic and computational approaches. Alongside her academic work, she is passionate about science communication and enjoys engaging wider audiences with science.

In her free time, she can often be found hiking or birdwatching, enjoying the peace and beauty of the outdoors. Now based in England, she balances research life with time spent in the countryside — often accompanied by a good cup of tea.
