Michelle Modest

Michelle received her BA in Film from Yale University, her MSc in Conservation Science from Imperial College London, and her MA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from UC Santa Cruz (following the time honored tradition of starting a doctorate and then turning it into a masters instead). Since then she has been working as a venture capitalist. During her time at UC Santa Cruz, Michelle studied the migratory pathways of humpback whales between South America and Antarctica, conducting fieldwork in the Western Antarctic Pensinula as part of the NSF funded Palmer Station Long Term Ecological Research Project.
