Expedition Medicine Weekend
The Oxford Arctic Centennial Expeditions Team will be organising an Expedition Medicine Weekend from 2-3 May 2026 at Exeter College, Oxford.

This will be a full weekend of hands‑on training, community, and adventure‑driven learning. Highlights include practical, skills-heavy sessions teaching survival tactics like carrying techniques (rope use, Rautek manoeuvre), rescue blanket creativity (improvised backpack, insulation hacks), improvised stretchers and remote first aid kid essentials, SAM splinting, and dealing with hypothermia and frostbite. Our very own medics will be conducting these sessions, so this would be a great opportunity to meet the team and get involved!

The weekend would also feature brunches, dinners, lectures, and socials.
