
Ethan Carr
Ethan Carr is a doctoral researcher from Boulder, Colorado, currently pursuing a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder in the Department of Geography and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences. Prior to that, he received an M.A. from the Department of Geography at CU Boulder in 2024 and a B.S. in Physical Geography from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2020. His academic interests lie in researching Glaciology, Climate Change, and Natural Hazards with a focus on understanding evolving threats and assessing human impacts. In addition to his research interests, he is passionate about conservation and enhancing public awareness of the environmental sciences, particularly in the area of climate communication. In his free time, Ethan is likely to be found outdoors hiking, trail running, fly fishing, camping, or mountaineering. As an early-career scientist, Ethan is eager and excited to embrace the challenges facing the Arctic and hopes that the work done on this expedition will help others better understand the challenges and threats facing this threatened region.
