Wanne Mendonck

Wanne Mendonck completed a PhD in English at the University of Cambridge and currently works at the Bodleian Libraries in Oxford. He is interested in the language (literary and otherwise) we use to express our relation to the natural world, the history of science, exploration and environmental awareness, the history of information organisation and note-taking practices, and the history and current state of professional librarianship. As a keen believer in co-operation between the sciences and humanities, academics and librarians, he is very pleased to be part of the centenary expeditions team, and looks forward to getting stuck into the archival material as well as stepping out of the library into the field.
